Loma Vista PTA Mission Statement

Our PTA Program promotes a sense of community among students, staff, and parents affiliated with Loma Vista Elementary School in Ventura, California.  The PTA encourages school spirit through fun and enriching field trips and activities that provide extra social and educational opportunities beyond the standard school curriculum.  The PTA also plays a crucial role in mobilizing financial and volunteer backing from parents and the wider Loma Vista school community to supplement school budget needs for various educational programs and extracurricular activities.

Upcoming Events and Meetings

Parentconference

First Trimester Parent-Teacher conferences will be held November 15th-17th and 20th-21st, 2023.  Students will have the following minimum day release schedule:

TK: 11:30 am

K-3: 11:55 am

4-5: 12:00 pm

Loma Vista Elementary School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break November 22nd-24th, 2023.

Laps for Leopards

Our annual Jog-A-Thon!  Each year students raise funds for a fun-filled run through an obstacle course that ends with a popsicle social.  The kick-off for Laps for Leopards is September 15, 2023.  To donate for the Laps For Leopards Jog a Thon, click here!

The PTA provides financial support for all 5th grade students to attend a three-day marine science field trip to the Catalina Island Marine Institute.

Loma-Palooza

The PTA sponsors a blow-out end of year celebration complete with carnival games, great food, and a gigantic inflatable obstacle course.

The PTA meets once a month at  Loma Vista Elementary School. The meetings are on typically held on Tuesdays via Zoom.
